Feeling Good Week 2022
It's been Feeling Good Week in school this week with a focus on feeling positive about ourselves and recognising the things we can do to boost our mood. Across the school, children have been taking part in a range of active, reflective and fun activities so take a look at the photos to see what we have been up to
Activities included creating positivity trees for ourselves and our classes, running the colour team challenge on the daily mile, learning the song and dance 'I am Me' with our teachers and Mrs Tinkler and learning about the Five Ways to Wellbeing.
Some of our classes worked together to create a tree for their class room, dressing them in leaves filled with positive affirmations from each class member, whilst others drew their own individual trees, having thought about the positive messages they would like to include on each branch. Year 2's 'Positivi-tree' features leaves made from written post its about what makes us amazing; goals we have achieved and future goals we want to achieve.
Knowing that being outside in the fresh air and exercise can really boost both our physical and mental wellbeing, year 5 took to the daily mile track to complete a colour team challenge. Meanwhile year 2 raised their heart rates and got their endorphins flowing by dancing together to the Feel Good Song!
Throughout the week, we have all been mindful of the '5 ways to wellbeing'. These prompts are always available on our wellbeing page of the school website and we hope that, by considering them beyond this week, we can all stay connected; enjoy giving; enjoy learning; take notice and be active to support us in our daily lives.
