Building Learning Power
In Early Years Foundation Stage pupils are introduced to the Building Learning Power Pets and encouraged to identify with the character traits displayed by Caring Caterpillar, Responsible Rabbit, Sensible Squirrel, Tough Tortoise, Wise Owl and Team Ant.
These references continue throughout Key Stage 1 encouraging the children to behave positively in a range of both social and learning situations. In Key Stage 2 vocabulary based around the ideas of Resilience, Resourcefulness, Reciprocity and Responsibility is used by pupils and teachers alike with an aim of fostering and encouraging development of pro-social behaviour.
