FANTASTIC FLAG CHALLENGE

At the start of Book Week, each class was challenged by Mrs Sheppard to create a FANTASTIC FLAG, which would summarise their assigned book using form, colour and symbols to represent the themes of their book, featured characters and/or jokes. We learnt about why we have flags and their historical background and set out to complete the challenge over the course of the week. The flags made inventive use of the resources available in school and included plenty of recycled materials; have a look at some of the creative ideas implemented by each class

AUTHOR VISIT FROM OLAF FALAFEL

Olaf is a comedian and children's author, who illustrates his own books. He is also the creator and presenter of Art Club on an online art channel for kids. He hosted some brilliant assemblies and workshops for the different year groups, encouraging everyone to join in with his draw-along tutorials
