FAREWELL, MRS LOCKWOOD!

After 10 years working at Prae Wood school, today the children have delighted Mrs Lockwood in her final celebration assembly, many bravely sharing personal memories of the way in which she has helped them and their families over the years as well as singing some of her favourite songs. Mrs Lockwood was presented with her very own Everyone Welcome story 'The Welcoming Wood', which was written by Mrs Welland, illustrated by the children and then published.

Along with the beautiful book, she was presented with some gifts to remind her of her time at Prae Wood, which included a plum tree to plant at her new home, some Prae Wood t shirts -which have been signed throughout the day today, her very own set of 16 'Everyone Welcome' Books to share with pupils at her new school and a bottle of Prae Wood Gin. The PWSA also presented her with some thoughtful gifts such as a delicious carrot cake, baked by Mrs Goldbrom, a presentation box of Rioja wine and other lovely treats. We also sang her favourite songs.

Mrs Lockwood spent the morning collecting signatures on her T shirts and visited the EYFS classes.

This afternoon the children have thoroughly enjoyed their circle group games in the park, along with a biscuit treat for all, cooked by our executive chef. We are all going to miss Mrs Lockwood but wish her all the very best in her new adventures in the New Forest and in her new school. Thank you and good luck from us all!
